How a Commission Works

Every piece we make starts with a conversation and ends with a presentation. Here is what happens in between, whether you need a new trophy, a replica, medals or a private gift.

1. Your brief

Tell us about the occasion, the date it must be ready, your budget and how many pieces you need. Photographs, sketches or an existing trophy all help. You can reach us by WhatsApp, email or phone.

2. Design

We develop the design with you. For a replica we work from the original trophy, or from photographs and measurements, and we advise on scale.

3. Approval and quotation

You approve the final design, the price and the timetable before any making begins.

4. Making

Your piece is made by our network of specialist British craftsmen: designers, spinners, casters, silversmiths, chasers, engravers, enamellers and polishers, each chosen for the work. We manage every stage and keep you updated.

5. Hallmarking

Every piece of silver, gold and platinum is sent to a UK Assay Office to be tested and hallmarked, the independent guarantee of its precious-metal content.

6. Engraving, plinth and presentation case

We add the engraving, plinth and winners’ band, and make a fitted presentation case so the piece can be carried, stored and presented safely.

7. Delivery and aftercare

We deliver in time for your event. Afterwards we can re-engrave winners’ names each year, polish and maintain the trophy.

  • Typical lead time: 4–6 months from approval of the design.
